About the event
The Economic Recovery and Reconstruction Plan cannot be achieved if young people are not included in the economic activity that accompanies the plan. SAYEC has decisively taken a stand on the issue of youth unemployment by calling for a Jobs Imbizo 2022, where all corporations and government entities present commit to employing young people in industries that are critical to expanding our economy. Not only will the effort be left to the two-day event, but it will also translate into the council keeping stakeholders accountable for their commitments to the youth of South Africa
The Jobs Imbizo will feature some of the following speakers:
1. Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe
2. Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies and Communication, Philly Malikane
3. Deputy Finance Minister, David Masondo
4. Mayor of Cape Town, Geordin Hill Lewsi
5. CEO of NYDA, Waseem Carrim
6. CEO of PASA, Phindile Masangane
